Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine Presents Fifty Years Of Crime And Suspense. This collection features some of the best stories of each decade from the magazine’s existence, including tales by such well-known writers as Jim Thompson, Donald E. Westlake, Ed McBain, Lawrence Block, Jan Burke, and Sara Paretsky.
AHMM has also enjoyed a proud tradition of featuring less familiar writers and introducing new talent. This anthology, therefore, will also feature gems by Henry Slesar, Jack Ritchie, Steven Wasylyk; early stories by such writers as Doug Allyn, Rob Kantner, and Martin Limon; and tales by such vigorous mid-career writers as I. J. Parker, Rhys Bowen, and Steve Hockensmith.
In anticipation of our golden anniversary, we invited readers to nominate their favorite stories and authors, and many of those reader favorites are included in this anthology. Reflecting the diversity of every issue of the magazine, the anthology features historicals and procedurals, cozies and noirs, humor and suspense, and documents a half century of great storytelling.
